Articulated dolls have been around since ancient Greek and Roman Times, but collectable figures really didn’t come on to the toy market in a big way until the 1980s. The 80s and 90s saw loads of lines be released, from popular cartoon characters from TV networks, to detailed replicas of famous comic book heroes and villains. Then in the 2000s, conventions became mainstream and collectable figures were displayed for as far as the eye could see. Here at Collective Consciousness, we stock a wide range of figures for fans of all kinds of TV shows, movies & games. Shop Star Wars, Harry Potter, Disney, DC, Marvel & more today!

Action Figures & Statues

The most traditional style of collectable figure is the action figure. The term was first used by American multinational toy, game and entertainment company Hasbro in the early 1960s. It was their way of making “dolls” more appealing to boys, and it led to the release of their G.I. Joe figure (a response to the success of Barbie with young girls). Since then, action figures and statues have been made of anything and everything that’s deemed popular, from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Terminator, The Witcher and Justice League, to Harry Potter, Avengers, Lord of the Rings, the Power Rangers and more.

Pop! Vinyl & Q posket

When it comes to the collectable figures of today, the most popular series without a doubt is Pop! Vinyl. Made by collectables company Funko, they are a range of cute, big eyed and bobble headed likenesses of characters from everything from blockbuster movie franchises, TV shows & games, to anime, comics, cartoons and even celebrities & sports stars. Another super cute, manga art style series of collectable figures are Q poskets. Created by Japanese toy company Banpresto, q poskets have distinctive glossy eyes, expressive poses and bright colour schemes. They cover everything, from DC to Disney to Sailor Moon & more.
